Abstract | | | | Hemostasis is the physiological process that stops bleeding at the site of an injury while maintaining normal blood flow elsewhere in the circulation. There are many factors which were known to affect the normal hemostasis pathway. In this article hemostasis defects associated with cardiac surgery, prosthetic devices and other extracorporeal circuits are focused.
