Abstract
lschemic and early haemodynamic changes were tested after ligation of femoral veins on hindlimbs of 25 dogs in Gülhane Military Medical fcademy Research Center and treatment procedures in this conditions were discused.
Peripheral vascular resistance (PR) and femoral venous pressure (FVP) increased immediately after ligation of le moral venies. 3 hours later, PR remained higher than normal levels although decreased partly, but FVP continued to rise. FVP decreased a little, it remained higher than normal levels. Metabolic acidosis developed secondary to ischem ic blood changes.
lntraarterial vasodilatator agents, lumbar sympathectomy and arterio-venous fistula were applied over the groups tor treatment. in conclusion we found that; the most effective method ta decrease of FVP was lumbar sympathectomy and the most effective method to decrease of PR was A-V fistula, but it was seen that FVP had increased highly in A-V fistula.
