Abstract
Neurological complications produce an important part of morbidity and mortality after coronary artery by pass sur gery. Multiple systems involvement in.atherosclerosis, also combined coronary and carotid artery stenosis in the same time have a great contribution on that. Even asysmptomatic carotid artery stenosis has an profound effect on the result of surgical treatment for coronary artery disease. The reason of that patient with coronary artery disease hava to be searched for concomitant carotid artery stenosis before surgery.
in that report we have presented 6 patient with staged surgical procedures for concomitant c:arotid-coronary artery stenosis. After staged surgical treatment all patients are found asymptomatic tor carotid and coronary artery lesions with follow-up ranged from 3 months to 4 years.
We concluded that in collaboration with the recent opinion all around the world, staged operations for concomitant carotid-coronary artery stenosis are more suitable for good outcome.
