Elementary School Principals Perceptions and Performance about Transformational Leadership

Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the opinions of K-8 school principals about the tenets of transformational leadership. For this purpose, Transformational Leadership Scale, which was developed by Tracy (1997) and adapted into Turkish by Akbaba-Altun (2001), was applied to 147 participants. It was found that K-8 principals did not apply the tenets of transformational leadership as much as they had found them to be important.
