Abstract
Bu makalede TIMSSin matematiğin bir desen arama bulma bilimi olduğunu temel alarak sorduğu bir soruda Türk öğrencilerin performansı irdelenmekte, buna bağlı olarak Türkiyede matematik eğitiminin matematiğe bakış açısının bir değerlendirmesi yapılmakta , ve anılan bilgi ve becerilerin geliştirilmesi için öğrencilere ne tür etkinlikler yaptırılabileceği tartışılmakta ve etkinlik örnekleri sunulmaktadır.
