Metronidazole Induced Agitated Depression Treatment with Lithium Combination

There are many published case reports supporting the neurotoxic and psychotic side effects of metronidazole. On the contrary, there is the only case reporting on the relationship between metronidazole and agitated depression in literature. The patient presented with agitated depression due to the use of metronidazole for infected teeth treated with lithium combination.
