Informal sector has been widely discussed all over the word as a recent subject. The definition of informal sector or informal employment is rather radically changed since 1990's depending on the results of different surveys. In this study, the social security aspect of informal employment in Turkey will be analyzed by a help of the results of our survey realized in Istanbul.
