In recent years, by means of advances in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, morbidity and mortality rates related to cardiac disease are declining. IABP which is used particularly in the treatment of low cardiac output syndrome has found area of application widely in a short time, and still is the most widely used device among the ventricular assist devices in the world.
