Abstract
The effects of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), carp pituitary extract (CP) and combination of them, for induction of spawning in Silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) were studied in a total number of 24 Silver carp that were divided into four groups. Weight and mass of eggs in relation to females weight were higher in G3 than in all other groups. The mean fertilization percentage was higher in G1 than in G3 and G4, while it was 0.0 in G2. The mean of live embryos after 12 and 24 hour was higher insignificantly in G3 than in G4 and G1. The return and economic efficiency were higher in G3 than all other groups (P
