AIM: The electromagnetic waves (EMW) emitted by both natural and man made sources have increased in our daily surroundings and the threat presented by these waves is crucial for human health. The aim of this study was determine the utility frequence of the devices with electromagnetic field by the nurses deployed in Ondokuz Mayıs University Hospital (OMUH).
METHOD: This cross-sectional study was conducted between 1and 31May 2009 at OMUH. Of the 456 nurses who worked at the hospital in this period, 368 (80.7%) nurses accepted to participate in our study.
