Bhang, Charas, Hashish, and Ganja all come from the Cannabis sativa plant, with marijuana commonly referring to its leaves and other parts. Marijuana use, especially among adolescents, can lead to withdrawal syndrome and is associated with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and psychosis due to high THC levels. This can manifest as euphoria, altered states of mind, and impaired memory, often linked to Vishada (Madatyaya Janya) in Ayurveda. A patient with marijuana abuse, presenting with delusions, auditory hallucinations, insecurity, and fear of being alone, was treated with snehapana, virechana, sarvanga abhyanga, and ashwasana. The treatment showed significant improvements in mental health.

Key words: Substance use disorders, Vishada(Madatyaya Janya), Snehapana, Virechana, Cannabis sativa, Medhya Rasayana , Ashwasana chikitsa.
