An Investigation on Escherichia coli Strains with Regard to Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamase Growth in Urinary Cultures

We evaluated the antibiotic susceptibilities, Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamase (ESBL) ratios and distrubutions between the policlinics and the services of E.coli strains, isolated from urinary cultures in Inonu University Microbiology Laboratory. 475 E.coli strains have been studied in Phoenix BD. System. We found 144 of them were ESBL pozitive. The percentage was %30.
