Histological Observation Of The Paneth Ce/ls Following Ranitidin Induction in Rats

Dr.Leyla CANPOLAT* Dr.Nigar VARDI**

.

Abstract

Ranitidin is a blocking agent for histamine H2 receptors that changes pH of the chyme. Bacteria do not live in the acidic miliue. Bacteria pass through the intestine by way of changing the pH of the miliue. Especially, Paneth ce/ls are replaced at the distal Heum region of the intestine and manufacture the antibacterial agent lysozyme, protecting the intestinal flora by discharging the granules containing lysozyme.

Aim: The Paneth celi changes are examined histologically, to assure miliue permission to the bacterial living by use of H2 receptor blocking. In this study, the Paneth ce/ls had been assigned to degranulation by way of increasing cellular activity.

Key words: Ranitidin, Paneth ce/ls, microscopy.
