Abstract
In this study, irt’ compared the prosthetic materials (polyf)rnfiylene and polytetrafluoroethylene) with respect to infection, develo/mient of adhesions and occurrence of hernias in rats which defects of the abdominal wall measuring 1 by 2 centimeters were repaired one of the prosthetic materials. There wav no significant difference between control and other groups with respect to infection and occurrence of hernias. Adhesions were more marked with jxihpropylene and it was statistically significant (p 0.05 )./ Journal of Turgut Ozal Medical Center 1(2): 79-82/1994/
