Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of variables such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), bruxism, plaque index and age on erosive wear occurring on the palatal surfaces of maxillary anterior teeth and to objectively measure this wear using the Anterior Clinical Erosive Classification (ACEC).
Materials and Methods: A total of 507 individuals were included in the study. Participants were administered a questionnaire using the self-report method regarding the presence of reflux; they were asked whether they had previously been diagnosed with reflux, the duration of the disease, and their medication use. The presence of bruxism was assessed by self-report and clinical examination findings. Erosive wear on the palatal surfaces of the maxillary anterior teeth was measured using the ACEC, and plaque accumulation was measured using the Silness and Löe Plaque Index. In statistical analyses, dependent and independent sample t-tests were used, and Spearman or Pearson coefficients were applied in correlation analyses. A significance level of p
