SHALAKYA TAṆTRA one of the eighth branches of Ashtang Ayurveda is coming in lime light now in view of several advances made by the Shalakis (the specialists of SHALAKYA TAṆTRA). A number of diseases are being treated successfully by adopting the line of treatment prescribed by Acharyas. The results obtained by Shalakis are required to be validated by established protocol as it is a need of time but there is no any established research protocols exist.
