The Effect of Gender on Health Related Attitudes and Behaviors

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of gender on health related behaviors and health attitudes. This research was a cross-sectional study’ s population of the research is formed by the 15 year old and over 221.557 individuals of the sample formula of the density, which the condition of the known of universe is used and universe is determined as 383. To increase the general ability of sample to universe the sample which determined with the formula is studied two times namely it’s studied with 766 individuals. In the statistical evaluation of the data; descriptive statistics, independent samples t test analyses and chi square test were used in the SPSS 10.0 program. According to the results of the research more female have used herbal treatment than male, believed in glance, didn’t want to take health care from opposite sex. It has been also reported that more male than female accepted organ transplantation.
