BACKGROUND: The close aim of our study is determine causes, prevalence of casualty-injury cases. The far aim is develop measures for preventing the casualty-injury cases in Turkish Army. This study is across sectional study.
METHODS: Our data was collected with questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed by investigators.
RESULTS: Our study includes 2172 privates. We completed the study at the end of October 2007, it took one month. 2090 privates were recruits. 75 of the privates were experienced. 281 of privates graduated at primary school, 259 secondary school, 1192 high school and 404 of them graduated at university. 568 (26,3%) of privates had disabilities like refraction abnormalities, hearing problems or flat food. 577 (26,6%) of privates lived causality-injury during their military life. We want to ascertain which place of the military zone these casualty-injury cases occur. Results are; 17% of them occur at working place, %11, 6 occur at military education field and just 0,6% at sporting area. Being educated is significantly related to have a casualty-injury (p=0,006).
